Atithi – located in Bethpage at 398 North Wantagh Avenue – held its grand opening in late August.

Under the direction of owner and New Delhi native Deepak Mehta, the eatery promises traditional Indian flavors, sans any meat.

Its menu boasts 18 different variations of Delhi chaat, made with soft lentil dumplings soaked in yogurt and topped with an assortment of chutneys and spices.

Diners can also opt for a number of sandwiches, wraps, and kati rolls – grilled kebabs with green chutney and shredded vegetables.

Atithi has racked up a 4.8 out of 5 star rating on Yelp, where dishes to earn a shout out include the tandoori chaaps, chilli gobi manchurian, and the sarso ka saag makki rotti.

“Nice ambiance and chic food presentation,” Chandan C., of Islandia, wrote on Yelp. “Hands down the best Indian food in town.”

“Loved every single item and highly recommend it,” Hardy S., of Hicksville, added.

Atithi is open daily. Find out more on its website.
